Stables Wing

Following the success of Summerhill Park, a later project led to the challenge of designing a new wing to provide private offices for the new owner.  Architecturally, this required an approach which sensitively balanced the new wing in both scale and materials, so as to appear as a converted stables block in a later “Lutyens” style, complementing the earlier Georgian style new build of Summerhill Park.  Within the intricate detailing of the interior’s private offices, a concealed “jib” door in the bookcases provides access from the main residence.
